Unannounced

Ed walked in through the door on silent feet. Finding no one in the living room or kitchen, he made his way towards the back of the house. That bastard Mustang had finally given him a break after several continuous missions with nary a pause so he seized the occasion to run for it.
The young alchemist couldn't understand why the man still insisted on sending him to so many places. Roy's place as Fuhrer was secure and there weren't many who were still opposed his being in office, at least none important enough that it required the power of the Fullmetal Alchemist in order to subdue and incarcerate them. The blonde personally thought the man just felt a sort of masochistic glee over seeing him come back from each mission rumpled, grumpy and in disarray.
Therefore, he gladly took the pause between missions to buy a train ticket for Rizenburg to visit Winry and Al. Since they had restored each other, none of them had had many chances to see each other given the distance between their usual homes so they made sure to drop by whenever possible.
And seeing as Ed's downtime fell conveniently around the period he usually made himself unavailable to the Flame Alchemist to visit Al, he left before Mustang could pull him back into some 'emergency mission' that he needed to leave immediately for. Not that the man did that very often, and on the one incident he did was actually for a very good reason. Not that he kept that in mind when cursing the raven haired man out after he finished it.
Turning his thoughts back to the matter at hand, Ed checked the workshop, only to find it empty as well. The blonde frowned, slightly irritated. How was he going to surprise his brother if he couldn't find him?
He walked further into the house until he heard the sounds of his brother followed by the more feminine voice of Winry as he neared the bedroom. He hesitated for a moment, bracing himself for the indicative noises that would tell him to go far, far away and surprise his brother some other day.
Hearing nothing more than the mumbled protest of Al over something he couldn't catch and Winry's cheerful tones, Ed sighed in relief. The last time he barged into their bedroom unannounced, he received an eyeful of a lot of bits he had no wish to see and spent his entire visit hiding from two of the closet people in his life--the first because he couldn't look him in the face without turning red and the second because he had no wish to get pelted by machinery for ruining the mood.
Reassured that he wasn't going to interrupt anything, Ed turned the knob and stepped into the room. "Hey, Al! Winry! Mustang finally gave me s--"
The rest of the sentence remained lodged in his throat when he took in the full image of the scene before him.
He saw Al standing on a low stool situated in the middle of the room, arms held out. Winry stood by his side with needles held in her mouth as she made alterations to his brother's clothes.
But mostly, he saw Al in a short blue skirt complete with a sailor top, knee-high white socks and padded bust. At least he thought it was padded because last time he checked he had a 'brother' and not a 'sister' and when the hell was he going to learn to never drop in at the Rockbell and Elric household without calling ahead of time and was that the floor and why was it going dark and maybe he should request an extra long mission when he went back to Central and to never to complain about Mustang ever again and he really didn't want to discover any more of Winry and Al's kinks...
And...
