It all began with a green apple flavored lollipop. Well, repressed teenage hormones Killua tried to tone down in front of Gon (who his body decided to be his main focus of want on par with chocolate cake). Though his best friend was the same age, Gon generally looked several years younger [mostly because of his big brown eyes that reminded you of those cute puppies in pet shops that you wanted to secretly cuddle to death but thought it too undignified].

But back to the lollipop, which was the main culprit behind the entire matter. The lucky piece of candy being rolled around by an indulgent tongue by an absentminded Gon (Was he trying to test Killua’s control? He mentally groaned.)

Gon gave him a concerned look (Did he make a face?) and pulled out the lolly with a loud pop. "Killua, are you okay? You look a little weird." The black-haired boy shoved the candy back into his mouth and sucked on it some more, still giving him that oblivious (was that a glint of amusement in those eyes?) look of worry. The teenage assassin gave him a speculative once-over before narrowing his eyes suspiciously.

His best friend took out the lollipop again and gave it a cat-like lick to the shiny green surface, pointedly staring at him as if daring the Zaoldyck to do something. The light dawned and suddenly everything since the candy made sense.

"You sneaky little...," he growled. Killua pounced and sent them both careening over the top of the hill to a grassy meadow down below, pinning the smaller boy to the ground as soon as they came to a stop.

Somewhere on the descent, the lollipop went flying as Gon went down underneath Killua’s weight and then, he had some other things to occupy himself with – like keeping an ear out for unintentional voyeurs.
