Raining Frogs

The birds were singing, the sun was shining, all was normal and cheery in the not-so-normal town of Sunnydale. It was a day any normal person would be out having fun and here he was stuck inside, sharpening stakes.

Oh well. Better luck next time.

Placing his newly made stake on the ever growing pile at the kitchen table, Xander grabbed another to sharpen. That was when he heard it--a soft, squishy sort of noise impacting against the glass windows.

He blinked and stood up to investigate further, not quite sure if his eyes were playing tricks on him. A second impact was quickly followed by a third. The fourth landed in the sink and croaked at him before attempting to jump out.

"Hey Giles?"

"Hmm?" the Watcher said distractedly, mind still immersed within a dusty tome.

"It's raining frogs." Then added, "And tadpoles," when he saw one crash into the window.

At that, Giles looked up in surprise and stood up as well to see the sky suddenly raining frogs. "Oh my..."

"I'll go call the rest of the Scoobies for a impending apocolypse meeting."
